Hindenburg Systems is a Danish software company specialising in intuitive, portable production solutions for audiobook and audio narrative producers.
Hindenburg Systems provides software for the creation of EPUB3, DAISY-compliant and now W3C audiobooks to talking book libraries and audiobook publishers around the world. As such they have a very direct interest in being up-to-date and involved in the development of the standards and readers under EDRLab auspices.
Hindenburg ABC is indeed the first authoring software capable of producing W3C Audiobooks on the market. Chris Mottes, their CEO, told us that they tested W3C Audiobooks in Thorium Reader and it worked really well – they actually used a DAISY book as the source file, in order to really test different possible combinations.
