You were an IDPF member and became a W3C “TPI” member after the IDPF merged in W3C. Or you we’ve been out of IDPF and W3C until now. You’re wondering if you should join the gang or let EDRLab and friends fight for you in this magical and terribly technical world.
On October 17th, at 11:00 CEST (9:00 UTC) – a few days after the Frankfurt book fair – the W3C is organizing a 45 mn webinar targeting the European publishing industry, with a simple goal: explain why and how companies active in this industry sector should join the W3C for building industry standards, either as members of the Business Group (which decides on the “what”) or the more technical Working Group (which decides on the “how”).
Alan Bird, W3C global business development leader and Ivan Herman, W3C lead of the publishing working group will present W3C publishing activities, cost of membership etc. Luc Audrain, co-chair of the W3C Publishing Business Group, will describe his experience, and there will be ample time for Q&A.
